Penta Labs 12AU7 is a select low noise 12AU7 made by the Shuguang factory in China. Excellent current production 12AU7/ECC82, less gain than a 12AX7 with a gain factor of 19 versus 100 for a 12AX7.

Hello Doug,
If anyone likes metal and has the Bravo Ocean, steer them to this Penta 12au7 i just bought from you (with the old new stock square getter unlike the stock round getter). The NOS American/German tubes oversaturate metal on this device--especially the mids. This Penta is perfect. For Jazz/Acoustic/Folk then the Penta becomes subjective as the other NOS stuff nicely saturates this non overdriven stuff.
With the Bravo Ocean I am using Mogami cable and the Philips Fidelio X2 and the Audio Technica ATH 50 (Posted on 7/26/15)
