Metal -

Our "metal" amp tube kit is designed to produce richer, thicker, and darker tones.  You have the choice between Ruby 6L6's or EL34's, it includes a "high gain" preamp tone kit, and available 2 x Electro Harmonix 5U4GB's.  The Ruby 6L6GCMSTR's give you articulate distortion or the Ruby EL34BSTR will give you a "wall of sound" and the attack and response needed in metal.  Electro-Harmonix 5U4GB's are one of our best, most sturdiest rectifiers.  Our preamp tone kit is all high gain, designed so you can push your amp and is as followed:

V1 - Tung 12AX7 (High Gain)

V2 - JJ ECC83 (High Gain)

V3 - Penta 12AX7 (High Gain)

V4 - Penta 12AX7 (High Gain)

V5 - Sovtek 12AX7 LPS (High Gain)

Rock / Hard Rock -

Our "rock" amp tube kit is designed to produce richer, smooth, fuller bodied tones.  You have a choice between 6L6GC's or EL34's. The SED Winged "C's" 6L6GC's have a pleasant breakup and nice punch.  The Tung-Sol EL34B's have a smooth, almost 6L6 like distortion.
We recommend the Tung-Sol 12AX7 in V1 - it will give the clean channel a three dimensional sound.  Placing the Penta 12AX7 in V2 and V3 will give your modern vintage gain channels a little more character.  Our preamp tone kit will give you the flexability needed in rock, and is as followed:
